VAKARM: Raising Awareness on Underwater Sound Pollution

VAKARM is an educational project on underwater sound pollution, which disrupts marine life’s navigation and communication because sound travels 4x faster underwater. It uses interactive displays (VAKARM/ECHO) to communicate this hidden issue to the public. The project addresses the constant noise created by activities like the 22,000 ships crossing the Mediterranean annually.
