The AREIAS

The AREIAS (Underwater Environmental Exploration and Inspection Robotic Assistant) project introduces an autonomous robot to safeguard the marine ecosystem. This “guardian of the ocean” vacuums, filters, and separates seabed waste, including microplastics. Equipped with Navigation AI and environmental sensors, it monitors water quality (temperature, pH, pollutants), maps the ocean floor, and uses a hydrophone to study marine life, providing real-time pollution alerts.
