InUAc- Incubadora de Empresas da Universidade dos Açores

L’École de design Nantes Atlantique is a private institution for technical education dedicated to the teaching of Design. Founded in 1988, it has been managed by the Nantes-Saint Nazaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry since 1991. The school is recognized by the State and is one of the two schools in its field to award a design degree which is Accredited diploma (France) by the French Ministry of Higher Education. This degree is also registered in the Registre National des Certifications Professionnelles (the French directory for vocational qualifications) as a Level I Master’s degree.

Description

The Incubadora de Empresas de Base Tecnológica da Universidade dos Açores (University of the Azores’ Technology-Based Business Incubator). Established in 2020, InUAc aims to promote and implement activities that stimulate the academic community towards technological transfer, entrepreneurship, and company creation, closely linking with the regional business fabric and society in general.

InUAc offers a range of services designed to value the knowledge and innovation produced at the University of the Azores. These services include support in intellectual property, the creation of startups and spin-offs, organization of ideation or acceleration programs, and training oriented towards entrepreneurship and innovation. The incubator provides both physical and virtual incubation programs, supported by a network of mentors with expertise in strategic areas for the region.

Additionally, InUAc is a member of the Rede de Incubadoras de Empresas dos Açores (RIEA), collaborating with regional entities to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. This network aims to interconnect different incubators to encourage the creation and consolidation of new companies, fostering economic and social development in the Azores.

Through these initiatives, InUAc strives to transform academic innovation potential into economic and social value, supporting entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas and contributing to the sustainable growth of the Azores.
